Travelling today ain't like Grandma did it! So many more options of where to stay & how to get there. This is the first in a series of blogs on how travel is changing. We are starting with Airbnb. I was just listening to a speaker talk about how the Hotel Industry just a couple years ago felt "secure" in their dominance. Since the price of real estate is so high, the barrier to enter the hotel market was very difficult. Business Rule #1: Sitting fat and happy on the top only assures you'll soon be knocked off! (Think IBM). And wala! It happened. Along came Airbnb.

They are the largest accommodation provider in the world yet the don't own real estate. How is that possible? They just had the idea to connect the people (like you and me ) who NEED a room with the people (also like you and me) who HAVE a room. And Airbnb was born. You can easily find places to stay and chat with the owners. Each of you have to validate each other (through Social Media feeds, ID's, reviews, etc.)

Take a look at our experience here! And maybe I'll get brave and be a HOST when the Super Bowl comes to town!
