The Braun Family Reboot is still alive and kicking - albeit a bit in a need of an injection of new life & energy. We started last June 1st which makes us having travelled on the journey a bit over half a year. We came out of the gate strong and made progress quickly. But then it got boring. I would say it got hard, but not really. We have really incorporated the changes we made into our diet. So, other than our weekly cheats we have stopped all gluten and processed sugar along with stopping all sodas, juices and most processed foods. This was our goal - to make life changes and I think we have embedded that behavior.

But, we plateaued and stopped making progress. And we have all but failed at making exercise part of our life. Now don't get me wrong - my daily movement is MUCH better than when I started. Withings gave me my "annual report" and my steps have increased to averaging over 4,000 per day vs. about 1500 when I started. But we haven't managed to make conscious exercise part of life. It is still an "extra" that hasn't made it's way in. If it wasn't for my tiny little Jimminy Cricket "conscious", I probably wouldn't even think about it.

From a weight point of view, I've personally ended the year 30 pounds less - which is the first year in a long time I've ended less than I started! The rest of the family have a similar story. Our total is right around 68 pounds as a family. Nicholas added several inches of height which made his change even a bit more dramatic!

Finally, I get a chance to review my YES List and remember WHY I'm doing this in the first place. My progress so far is below. While I've only checked off a few, it's a start. We always knew this was a marathon not a sprint.

We are now ready to invigorate our Reboot. We "took off" since mid-December, so we've lost a bit of progress (about 6-8 pounds each). We have some ideas. So, when i get back home from this business trip, we will hit it again. Here's to a great 2016!
